Robert "Terry" Charters is a 1967 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard School of Dental Technology, and has studied dental technology throughout the United States and Europe. He has owned and operated his laboratory for 25 years and today specializes in fixed-removable prosthetics. His laboratory was the East Coast's training center for lab procedures associated with the IMZ implant system from 1990-1995, and he currently does hands-on courses for Straumann USA.

Mr. Charters' clinical presentations and lectures include the following venues:

Tufts University, Yankee Dental Congress, Temple University, N.Y.U., University of Tennessee, Oklahoma University, Hong Kong University, Loma Linda University, University of Maryland, Pennsylvannia University, Mid-West Spring Technical Meeting, New England Dental Laboratory Symposium, Chicago Mid Winter Meeting, and study groups throughout North America.

He has authored several articles for implant and technical journals, and has also participated in product research and development for numerous implant companies.

He is a member of several implant societies and was recently awarded Mastership by The American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics. Most recently he was asked to participate in the D.O.I.T.I., which is a group of North America's best implant technicians that have agreed to present educational seminars for fellow technicians.

Maxillary cast missing left central and right 1st bicuspid

Denture teeth are set in the endentulous spaces 

 

 

A suck down is done with perioglove material 

A dental implant profile instrument is used to determine the available space 

 

 

The implant site is prepared by drilling down the long axis of the proposed replacement tooth 

Insert a 3/32 x 16mm pin
